DIY // The Places We Have Called Home

places we have lived FIXED

Happy Wednesday!

Awhile back, I got the itch to make this cute DIY project and it received really positive feedback from everyone who has seen it so I thought I would share it with you! ๐Ÿ™‚

I had needed something in my entryway and I wanted it to reflect us as a family.ย  I wanted it to be something that I could DIY but super difficult to execute: enter this idea that I found on Pinterest.ย  If you’re interesting in making one of your own, here’s how to do it:

SUPPLIES:

  1. Frame (I had mine on hand.ย  It was from Michael’s when they had a 50% off sale)
  2. Maps from places that you’ve lived.ย  (I got mine from AAA for free).
  3. Computer, printer and a sheet of paper
  4. A circular object
  5. Pencil
  6. Scissors
  7. Glue

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Using your circular object and pencil, draw a circle on the map of where you lived and cut it out.ย  Repeat as many times as necessary.
  2. On the computer, using Word or Publisher, I made a template for each city that we’ve lived and the years that we lived there.
  3. When you’re happy with how it looks, print it out.
  4. Cut it down to size to fit your frame.
  5. Add to frame
  6. Enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚
